Lew Wood's book "The Daisy 179" covered all 7 versions made from 1960 to 1984.   The book was Copyright 2001.   The Daisy Museum offered a special 8th version in 2005 in a special box, which was essentially the same as the 7th version.    This schematic is for the earliest versions without a safety.   The 7th version with the trigger block safety was introduced in about 1980.   To see a schematic of the 7th version with the safety, Click Here.  Many parts are the same as earlier versions.
