Our Exhaust Valve Body is an improvement over the factory 4 hole part because of larger transfer hole sizes, larger valve throat, improved angles of the airflow, and rounded internal corners, all done to improve airflow and reduce resistance to airflow in the valve. These improvements were possible because CNC machining provides better control and makes it possible to machine more accurately and to closer tolerances than could be done manually decades ago. The result is; more air exits the valve faster than from any obsolete factory part resulting in getting more out of the gun. However, there are a lot of other factors related to the seals, pump, compression tube, transfer port, breech, rifling, springs, etc which affect performance. These are the most efficient exhaust valve bodies and should add more power and velocity to your airgun. Not those made in NY). On the older Benjamin and Sheridan airguns that have Exhaust Valve Body nut, remember it has to be very tight to force the lead gasket to seal.
